The Herstal Group continues to grow for the fourth consecutive year and distributes a dividend of 10 million euros

On June 7, 2016, the General Assembly of the Herstal Group, which is fully owned by the Walloon region, approved the accounts of 2015 which show a net income of €45.5 million. The Assembly also decided to distribute a dividend of €10 million for the second consecutive year.

The Herstal Group has continued its growth since 2012 with a consolidated turnover of €771 million for 2015, an increase of nearly 14% compared to 2014. The Group consolidates its position among the world leaders in both divisions: Defense and Security with the FN Herstal brand (57% of turnover) and Hunting and Sports Shooting with the Browning and Winchester Firearms* brands (43% of turnover).

These excellent figures result from the strategy implemented several years ago and built on three axes: an intensive innovation policy and the development of extended premium quality product ranges, continuous investment in research and development and manufacturing equipment (€64 million invested in 2015) and a reinforced global presence.

The Herstal Group has over 2,700 employees worldwide, including about 1,500 in Belgium (up 3.5% in 2015).

The Herstal Group also contributes to the economic and entrepreneurial development of the Walloon region through a large network of suppliers (more than 250 companies with an estimated impact of over 1,000 direct and indirect jobs) and active participation in many innovative technological projects in cooperation with several regional and university research centers.

Philippe Claessens, Chief Executive Officer of the Herstal Group: "Despite a cyclical and highly competitive market, the Herstal Group maintains growth for the fourth consecutive year. It intends to pursue its strategy and build its future based on a model of profitable growth in the medium and long term. The excellent 2015 results are the fruit of this strategy and the efforts of all staff members of the Herstal Group worldwide. "
